Workers’ Comp for Fire Fighters with Cancer

Workers’ compensation benefits are being extended to fire fighters who develop cancer as a result of their jobs. In many burning buildings, fire fighters are exposed to carcinogens, making them more likely to develop cancer later in life.

This information has led to the extention of benefits. North Carolina fire fighters will now be able to use those benefits to help alleviate medical bills and lost wages due to cancer.
