About The Firm
Scudder & Hedrick was founded by attorneys with over thirty combined years experience in the practice of law. Sam Scudder and John Hedrick were practicing with The Law Offices of Robin E. Hudson when Ms. Hudson was elected to the Court of Appeals and closed her practice. Sam, Judge Hudson's senior associate, and John, a former North Carolina Industrial Commission Deputy Commissioner, formed Scudder & Hedrick, and have since expanded the firm to include Alice Tejada, whose nine years of experience and fluency in Spanish and in English, allow us to represent a broader population of clients. In August 2006, April Seguin, a recent graduate of Campbell University, joined the firm. In law school Ms. Seguin gained valuable litigation and appellate experience as a member of both the Trial Team and Moot Court Team.
Both partners are Board Certified Specialists in Workers' Compensation Law, which means that we are very knowledgeable in the specific field of representing injured workers. The size of our firm assures that your claim will get personal, hands-on attention.
We are dedicated to providing our clients with information regarding their claims every step of the way and to open and accessible communication with the individuals we represent.
Our attorneys are members of the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, an association dedicated to protecting people's rights through advocacy and education. Our attorneys attend, write materials for, and lecture at continuing education courses regularly, assuring that they maintain knowledge of the very latest information available to assist clients.
In addition to the years of experience and education our attorneys have, we have many resources available, from electronic research assistance to the experience and dedication of our staff.
