Man killed in Mount Holly manufacturing accident

Posted on May 25th, 2011 No Comments

Yesterday afternoon, a plant worker at the National Gypsum plant in Mount Holly was tragically killed in a manufacturing accident.  According to a spokesperson from the plant, the accident occurred at around 4:45 P.M.

46-year old Andrew “Butch” Evans worked at the plant since January 2009 on the production line.  National Gypsum manufactures dry wall for construction projects and has a production line that is half of a mile long.  Authorities say that Evans was working on the line where wallboard is made.

Officials have not released how the accident occurred or how Evans died.  OSHA arrived at the scene of the accident Tuesday evening to investigate.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim’s family and friends.

Do I have a case?
