Millwright worker receives compensation for carpal tunnel

Posted on April 20th, 2011 No Comments

Timothy Davies, a millwright, was recently awarded workers’ compensation after developing carpal tunnel.  Davies filed a workers’ compensation claim because he felt that the impairment was caused by the duties he was required to perform at work.

A millwright is someone who builds and repairs the machines used in mills and factories.  Davies was referred to a physician after he began to feel the effects of carpal tunnel and the physician diagnosed him as suffering a mild impairment.

After appealing an initial decision made by the Charleston Supreme Court, Davies was rewarded a 6 percent yield for his injury.
