Worker sues company for injury sustained while constructing Miley Cyrus’s tour set
Charles Nicholas Sarris, a construction worker who had been hired to help erect a prop for actress and recording artist Miley Ray Cyrus’s concert, has filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles, California-based equipment supply company ShowFX, Inc., claiming he sustained major injuries in February when he hurt himself after the “equipment and tools provided to him failed.”
Cyrus has been using the blown-up image of herself with an inflatable tongue functioning as a slide to make her entrances in her concerts for her Bangerz tour. Sarris was allegedly injured while trying to help set up this part of the stage set.
This was not the first instance that someone has been hurt due to the concert prop. Singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira fell while singing her first song during one show and sustained injuries to her leg in Anaheim, California.
