Man Jailed for Workers’ Comp Fraud
In El Paso, Texas, a former US Postal worker was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison for workers' compensation fraud. The man fraudulently alleged an on the job injury to his arm in order to receive payments.
In addition to the 10 month sentence, the man must also pay $54,851.30 in restitution as well as a $1,400 special assessment to the Crime Victims Fund. After his release he will also have to undergo 3 years of supervision.
